Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-28

Welcome. By using Daily Floyd you agree to these terms. They're meant to be readable.

What this is

Daily Floyd ("we", "us") is a service operated by the Daily Floyd team that surfaces a song from the Pink Floyd–universe each day and lets you rate it and discuss it. We don't sell music, distribute lyrics, or claim ownership of any songs in the catalog. Album art is sourced from Wikipedia/Wikimedia under their respective Creative Commons licenses; lyrics are linked out to Genius.

Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe.
  • You must be at least 13 years old (or older if your country requires it).
  • One person, one account. Don't impersonate someone else.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.

Your content

You keep ownership of comments and ratings you post. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute them within Daily Floyd. We can show your comments to other users and surface them in the discussion view.

Don't post things that:

  • Are illegal, threatening, harassing, or hateful.
  • Infringe on someone else's copyright or trademark.
  • Contain personal information about other people without their consent.
  • Are spam, advertising, or off-topic to a meaningful degree.

We can remove content and suspend or ban accounts that violate these rules. Users can report content to moderators.

The service

  • We try to keep Daily Floyd up and running, but we don't promise specific uptime. The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.
  • Daily Floyd may link to or surface content from third parties (Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, Genius, Wikipedia). We're not responsible for those services.
  • Pink Floyd, the album titles, song titles, and band/member names are property of their respective rightsholders. Daily Floyd is a fan-built discussion app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Pink Floyd, its members, or any record label.

Termination

You can stop using Daily Floyd at any time. We can also suspend or terminate access if you break these terms or if we shut the service down.

Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Daily Floyd team isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability won't exceed what you've paid us — which, since Daily Floyd is free, is $0.

Changes

If we update these terms, we'll show you a notice in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
